Kersen didn't spend much time at gay bars. For one thing, he had his own bar (though obviously it was nothing like this). And for another, there were obvious barriers to just pulling some random guy. Like the fact that he was a vampire.
Tonight, he hadn't actually come here for that purpose, though. He was auditioning a new bartender, though the bartender didn't know it yet. He'd heard a rumor that there was a half-fae guy working here, and so he'd come to check him out. He didn't have any qualms about poaching supernatural employees from other places. He needed them more.
Though he'd apparently picked a bad night because said half-fae guy either didn't exist or wasn't here. Though he didn't see any reason to leave right away, and so he got a drink from the very human bear behind the bar. And then another, as he indulged in a little innocent flirtation. And another. And after that guy left, as he waited for just one more scotch (really!), he caught a glimpse of someone looking his way. Admiring, maybe. Though it was dark. Still, Kersen was a little tipsy at this point and found he liked the attention.
Once he had his drink, he slipped over to the stool beside him. He'd realized where he was looking, so he said, "Do you have any tattoos?"
